This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and used when you visit ftmtopsurgeryturkey.com or contact us through this website, WhatsApp, e-mail or telephone. It is intended to meet the requirements of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

2. What data we collect
- Contact details you enter in our forms or send by message: name, e-mail address, phone number, country.
- Information about your inquiry: the procedure you are interested in and any questions or comments.
- Health information and photographs that you choose to send us for an online assessment (for example medical history, previous operation reports and chest photographs). This is special category data under the GDPR and “sensitive personal data” under the KVKK.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and cookie data, as described in section 7.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
- To answer your inquiry, carry out an initial assessment and prepare a treatment plan and quote – based on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a); KVKK Art. 5 and 6), and on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To organise your treatment, travel and aftercare if you decide to proceed – based on the performance of a contract and, for health data, the provision of medical care (GDPR Art. 9(2)(h)).
- To comply with legal obligations, for example medical record-keeping duties under Turkish law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
- To keep the website secure and understand how it is used – based on our legitimate interests or, where required, your cookie consent.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your photographs or health information for marketing without your separate written consent.
4. Who we share your data with
Your data is accessed only by Dr. Hakki Izmirli and the clinic team who need it to respond to you. We use carefully selected service providers to operate this website and our communications (web hosting, e-mail, website security and WhatsApp). Where you proceed with treatment, necessary information may be shared with the hospital where the surgery takes place. We may disclose data to public authorities when required by law.
5. International transfers
Our clinic is located in Türkiye. If you contact us from the EU, UK or elsewhere, your data will be transferred to and processed in Türkiye. Some of our service providers may also process data in other countries. Where required, transfers are based on your explicit consent or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
Inquiries that do not lead to treatment are deleted within 2 years of our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you are treated at our clinic, your medical records are kept for the period required by Turkish health legislation.
7. Cookies
This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function and, only with your consent, cookies for statistics and marketing. You can accept, reject or change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie banner.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it). Under the KVKK you also have the rights listed in Article 11. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in your country, or with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Please avoid sending sensitive health information through channels you do not consider secure.
